We offer the following:
- high-grade protection of gravitational elevator equipment from quick wear
- protection of grain against mechanical damage
Quick wear of elevator equipment, crushing and damage of grain are problems faced by grain-processing enterprises. The reason for this is the abrasiveness of grain mass. These problems are eliminated by polyurethane lining of elevator equipment. Lining is a special finish to protect surfaces from possible damage.
Thanks to the use of polyurethane lining, the following problems are eliminated:
- grain crushing
- equipment wear
- dusting and sparking
- buildup of grain mass
- equipment downtime and ultimately losses
But why polyurethane?
It consists primarily of two components of refined petroleum products — isocyanate and polyol. Polyurethane has the following important features: high wear resistance, abrasion resistance, elasticity. And in addition to these properties, polyurethane is an environmentally friendly material.
Thanks to these properties, polyurethane is not simply a substitute for metal and rubber. It also sometimes outperforms these materials’ performance properties. So today it is the best material used for lining of elevator equipment.
For more than 8 years, the expert team of the scientific and production firm “Prepolymer” has worked in close collaboration with grain-processing enterprises.
We are addressing two major challenges:
- protect the grain from damage
- defend elevator equipment against wear
Our customers have confirmed that thanks to the polyurethane lining of elevator equipment:
- the number of damaged grains has been reduced
- the amount of dust has significantly decreased
- the level of noise in the premises has decreased
- the service life of equipment has increased
A 2–5% damage reduction of grain (data for various elevators) gives very tangible financial results.
So whether it’s worth using polyurethane lining of elevator equipment — this issue no longer exists. It’s certainly worth it!
But here are a few features that affect the performance of polyurethane lining, reaffirmed by our practice:
- quality of the polyurethane
- correctly chosen thickness of polyurethane layers
- properly selected method of lining
- correctly installed and mounted equipment
Our experts have developed various methods of lining, depending on operating conditions and objectives:
- lining with ready inserts
- lining by gluing sheets of varying thickness and dimensions on the wearable surface of equipment
- lining by hot polyurethane casting
- lining with polyurethane sheets reinforced with steel band or steel mesh
- lining the surfaces of steel sheets coated with polyurethane with special fasteners
- combined methods of lining
Summarizing our own experience and that of elevator staff, we can say with certainty that polyurethane-lined equipment effectively protects the grain from damage and the equipment from wear and tear.
The main goal is to protect equipment from technological wear, extend its service life, and preserve the grain from damage and breakage.
Thanks to polyurethane lining of elevator equipment, you not only multiply the lifespan of your machinery, but also ensure gentle handling of every grain.
Less loss — more quality, more profit!
And the main thing — it is a source of additional income!
We will be glad to engage in a constructive dialogue!
